The most inspiring places on the Côte d'Azur

The most inspiring places on the Côte d'Azur
The Côte d'Azur is a source of inspiration for Hercule Studio. Between sea, vegetation and unique architecture in vibrant colors, the region creates the perfect backdrop to stimulate creativity. Here's a selection of Hercule Studio's favorite locations.

Pierre Cardin's Palais Bulles by Antti Lovag
Nestled in the heights of Théoule-sur-Mer, the Palais Bulles is a futuristic residence imagined by artist Antti Lovag and purchased by famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin in 1991. Its unique bubble-shaped structure and Terracotta color inspired the organic shape and terracotta color of the Achy exercise mat and the Galé Comfort Pad . In addition to its avant-garde architecture, the Palais Bulles offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Artistic events, receptions and private parties are regularly held here, making the palace a place apart, where art and creativity meet, giving it a mythical and bewitching aspect.

The Fondation Hartung Bergman
Located in Antibes, the Fondation Hartung Bergman is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Founded by painter Hans Hartung and his wife, photographer Anna-Eva Bergman, the villa houses a center for artistic research and occasional exhibitions. In fact, it was at the Hartung Bergman Foundation that Hercule Studio was lucky enough to carry out its very first shoot. The pure architectural lines of the foundation and its whitewashed facades, contrasting with the olive trees and swimming pool, provided a minimalist, iconic and artistic backdrop for the brand to present its first collection.

Saint-Honorat Island and Lérins Abbey
Located off the coast of Cannes, 20 minutes by boat, the island of Saint-Honorat is a little-known gem that combines spirituality, unspoilt nature and fairytale architecture. Inhabited by a community of Cistercian monks, the island exudes serenity and calm, inviting reflection and introspection. At its heart, the island of Saint-Honorat is home to a vineyard and the Abbey of Lérins. An arched doorway at the entrance to the abbey symbolizes the passageway to the most spiritual part of the site. This archaic form, typical of Mediterranean architecture, inspired the creation of the Archy exercise mat.

Hotel Maybourne Riviera
Less historic this time and more contemporary, the Hotel Maybourne Riviera is located on the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin peninsula, between Menton and Monaco. Recently renovated by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the hotel is a jewel of modernist architecture and luxury. Its architecture is inspired by the movement of the sea, as if to melt into the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean. It houses several hundred works of art and an exterior full of contrasts, structured by a striking and singular bright orange. These tones inspired Hercule Studio's Bari print, composed of pop-orange and artistic lines in ecru beige.
